Metal Improvement Company performs metal finishing services that enhance operating characteristics of metal components. Our facility in Bensalem, PA has over 180,000 square feet of processing space to provide a wide range of metal finishing and surface treatment services
The newest addition to our anodizing services portfolio is a boric-sulfuric acid anodizing (BSAA) line that utilizes tanks measuring 40 feet long by 5 feet wide by 12 feet deep. BSAA is an environmentally friendly anodizing replacement for chromic acid anodizing (CAA.) that has been approved for use on aluminum by the major aerospace OEMs.
MIC’s boric-sulfuric, sulfuric and chromic acid anodizing tanks are the largest on the Eastern United States. The processing lines have been designed to handle large parts as well as high quantities of small parts.Flexible racking systems, combined with this
processing equipment, enable us to pretreat, anodize
and coat parts ranging in size from one inch to 40 feet
long in the same metal finishing facility.
Our fully automated, plc-controlled phosphoric acid
anodizing (PAA) line can handle parts nine feet long
by four feet wide. From any of these anodizing lines
it is a short distance to a clean room that contains
a dedicated adhesive primer booth and curing oven.
Our fully automated processing lines help ensure repeatability
and compliance to customer specifications. We establish
processes by referencing customer metal finishing specifications
and then apply the proper process to the corresponding
part number. Specific parameters are computer controlled
and, for quality assurance, a report of the processing
is produced upon completion.
